About the role
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to DevOps and engineering teams.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration and integration with enterprise business applications.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, platforms, programming languages, and industry standards to support development and procurement initiatives.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with third ‑ party vendors and partners.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support and manage development environments.
- Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to plan and execute major and minor application releases.
- Participate in application release cycles and coordinate release activities across staging and production environments.
- Partner with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain practical automation solutions and custom modules.
- Develop and maintain code and scripts to automate service provisioning and configuration using cloud platforms and scripting languages.
- Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployments, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across production and non ‑ production environments using structured debugging and problem ‑ solving techniques, collaborating closely with development and quality teams.
- Recommend and implement improvements to deployment patterns and practices based on lessons learned from prior releases and production incidents.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology or equivalent work experience required.
- 8+ years of professional experience required.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Git required.
- Experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, and VPC required.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure ‑ as ‑ code patterns required.
- Experience with system monitoring such as Grafana Labs required.
- Experience with enterprise logging approaches and tools such as Cloudwatch and Loki required.
- Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm required.
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using enterprise tooling required.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Kafka event streaming, and real ‑ time integration patterns required.
- Familiarity with identity management, API design, and enterprise security standards required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead independently and mentor others required.
- Knowledge of AWS services fundamentals required.
- Knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code required.
- Ability to interview end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues required.
- Knowledge of Healthcare industry practices and HIPAA knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws required.
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
