About the role
- Prepare, maintain, validate, and troubleshoot datasets that support financial models, transaction analysis, and reporting activities.
- Compile and analyze portfolio‑level data from internal systems and external sources for ABS transactions and ongoing surveillance.
- Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of inputs.
- Use tools such as SQL, Excel/VBA, Access, and SAS to support data extraction, analysis, modeling, and reporting workflows.
- Execute recurring and ad hoc analytical requests following established processes and analytical standards.
- Support enhancements to existing tools and reports, including testing, validation, and documentation.
- Assist with or lead (based on experience) efforts to modernize legacy workflows by improving automation, scalability, and controls.
- Partner with Corporate Finance, Accounting, Credit Risk, Treasury, Operations, and other stakeholders to support data‑driven initiatives.
- Communicate data issues, findings, assumptions, and limitations clearly and effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Contribute to process improvement discussions and support implementation of cross‑functional changes.
- Prepare summaries, documentation, and supporting materials for management review and decision‑making.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, assumptions, processes, and controls to support auditability and continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree- Mathematics, MIS, Statistics, or Computer Science (Other fields of study may be considered with relevant experience).
- Experience with financial modeling/analysis.
- Experience with SQL, Excel, VBA, Access, and SAS in production or project environments.
- Nice to Have Experience with statistical and modeling skills.
- Exposure to PowerBI or other reporting/business intelligence tools.
- Experience with Hadoop, Snowflake, and/or Oracle database systems.
- Coursework or certification in SAS programming, Advanced Excel (including Power Query/Power Pivot), or Data Warehousing.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
