Perform quality assurance and improvement functions in support of the OREM Quality Assurance Program and Quality Implementation Plan (QIP) requirements.
Coordinate and execute the OREM Integrated Assessment Plan/Schedule and external DOE/contractor assessment activities.
Conduct formal and informal assessments, including leading Quality Audits as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor.
Support corrective action tracking systems: data entry, retrieval, review, analysis, and compilation of ES&H and QA reports.
Serve as Integrated Safety Management Systems Verifications coordinator and/or assessor (contractors and DOE).
Coordinate and/or assess Operational Readiness Reviews and Readiness Assessments.
Administer, maintain, and provide user support for assessment and oversight activity tracking systems.
Participate in assessment planning, schedule coordination, team participation, and reporting.
Conduct surveillances, inspections, audits, walkthroughs, safety and health-related investigations, For-Cause Reviews, and Accident Investigations.
Support Management Self-Assessments and development/implementation of Quality Assurance Program Plans and related management system descriptions (including 10 CFR 830.120 and NQA-1 documents).
Develop organizational procedures or supplemental documents to support the OREM QIP and EM Quality Assurance Plan.
Apply causal analysis methodologies and perform reports and data analyses using statistical software.
Monitor, validate, verify, and close corrective actions; collect data for tracking and trending of issues and actions.
Develop and maintain tracking/trending systems, lessons learned, and computer programs; provide data reporting and operational awareness support.
Provide integrated reporting of contractor and DOE performance and results; prepare ad-hoc and monthly status reports.
Provide quality improvement support including assessment planning, scheduling, logistics coordination, technical review, and preparation of evidence packages.
Perform quality control and quality engineering tasks.
Requirements
Minimum Associate of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
Specific training in industry standards and DOE standards for nuclear quality assurance programs.
Minimum 10 years' experience in implementation of quality assurance programs
Qualified lead auditor (ASQC, NQA-1, or ISO)
Support to at least 10 documented assessments, 2 startup readiness reviews and 1 accident investigation
Expert knowledge of Word and familiarity knowledge of the other MS Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
Demonstrated experience with technical report preparation and data analysis
A Department of Energy L or Q clearance preferred.
US citizenship is required due to government contract and/or clearance requirements.
