About the role
- Lead the daily management of all freight forwarders (Ovrsea, Lyseo, FedEx, Cargo Partners, LME, Rolligh, and others)
- Move from “shopping for rates per shipment” to developing long-term partnerships with a limited number of modern and digital forwarders
- Ensure high accountability, consistent service levels, and continuous improvement with each partner
- Define and maintain air/sea/rail allocation rules based on SKU profile, volumetric logic, margins, and required lead times
- Optimize transport mode decisions using clean data, predictable rules, and scenario testing
- Maintain a dynamic digital freight cost table (weight, volume, destination, volumetric weight)
- Provide instant freight cost estimates for Planning, Procurement, and Sales
- Work closely with the Demand & Supply Planning team to plan shipments ahead of goods being ready
- Ensure instant visibility on every shipment through a TMS or modern tracking system accessible to internal teams (and eventually customers)
- Own full cost control for all transportation invoices
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of experience in international transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics operations
- Experience managing air/sea procurement or global transportation lanes
- Comfortable with digital platforms, system integrations, and data modelling
- Proactive, analytical, and able to work independently
- Thrives in a respectful, friendly, and ambitious environment where people learn fast, support each other, and take pride in doing things well
- Strong knowledge of air, sea, rail, and express transportation
- Skill in analyzing freight economics, volumetric rules, and lead-time optimization
- High comfort with digital tools, dashboards, etc…
- Negotiation strength and ability to build long-term partnerships with forwarders
- Data-driven, structured, and disciplined approach
- Clear communication in English; Cantonese and or Mandarin is a plus.
