About the role
- Develop and execute a multi‑year strategy that drives program growth, financial sustainability, and measurable safety impact.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—market assessment, design, validation, launch, and continuous improvement—to ensure relevance, quality, and evidence-based effectiveness.
- Integrate emerging technologies such as telematics, simulation, and scenario‑based training to advance learning outcomes.
- Maintain governance for content accuracy, ADA compliance, and multilingual support.
- Establish logic models and evaluation frameworks that link training participation to behavior change, crash reductions, and safety ROI.
- Use customer, instructor, and partner feedback along with performance data to drive continuous product and process improvements.
- Ensure programs remain current with evolving research, regulations, and best practices.
- Serve as NSC’s senior representative to national coalitions, advisory groups, and key industry forums, including the International Advisory Committee on Defensive Driving.
- Build strategic alliances with insurers, employer fleets, telematics providers, researchers, government agencies, and other high-impact partners.
- Lead or contribute to grant-funded initiatives, collaborating with Development to secure and steward resources that broaden public-good programming.
- Publish insights and support policy and advocacy efforts grounded in evidence-based practice.
- Partner with IT, Product Development, Marketing, Government Affairs, Membership, Customer Operations, and Training Delivery to ensure alignment and cohesive implementation.
- Collaborate to develop Instructor Guides, participant materials, and eLearning products that support consistent, scalable program delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in public health, transportation, education, business, or related field preferred.
- 12–15+ years of leadership experience in driver safety, training, transportation, insurance, or closely related industries.
- Proven experience with P&L ownership, pricing strategy, forecasting, and managing large product portfolios.
- National-level presence with demonstrated ability to build strategic alliances and represent organizations in high-visibility settings.
- Strong communication, executive presence, and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Direct experience in safety or injury prevention sectors strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply real‑world datasets (fleet/insurer data, telematics, evaluation findings).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and judgment skills; ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
- Experience supporting multilingual and accessible learning solutions preferred.
