Oversee all accounting activities, manage the month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure the timely preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and organizational policies.
Supervise the maintenance of ledgers, reconciliation of accounts, and the implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Provide comprehensive oversight of financial operations, including cash flow management, investments, and reserves.
Analyze financial results, trends, and variances to deliver actionable insights to leadership and support the development of strategic plans.
Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy, compliance with federal and state regulations, and timely payments.
Review and analyze payroll data for trends, discrepancies, and cost management.
Coordinate the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to develop, review, and consolidate departmental budgets.
Monitor actual performance against budget, prepare variance reports, and provide recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on complex accounting issues, regulatory requirements, and financial systems.
Coordinate and support the annual audit process, serving as the primary contact for external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables.
Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions to optimize organizational resources.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Active Certified Public Accountant license.
Progressive accounting/finance experience, including auditing, cost accounting, and budgeting.
Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Proficiency with ERP systems.
Analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail.
Ability to travel approximately 5 nights a year.
