About the role
- Friendly, helpful and professional service for passengers on our RRX lines
- Informing passengers about the route and connecting trains via onboard announcements and personal assistance
- Conducting ticket checks and recording passengers without a valid ticket; selling tickets using a mobile sales device in accordance with applicable tariff and transport conditions (VRR tariff, VRS tariff, VRM tariff, Deutschland-Tarif, NRW tariff)
- Maintaining safety and order on board in accordance with applicable house rules
- Operating onboard technical service equipment and resolving minor faults
- Assisting and supporting passengers with reduced mobility when boarding and alighting
- Securing and handing in lost property and assisting with the stowage of luggage and bicycles
Requirements
- Completed training/qualification as a Customer Service Agent in local rail transport desirable
- Full documentation of completed qualification as a Security and Service Specialist in public transport (ÖPNV) is an advantage; alternatively willingness to complete internal training
- Ideally: certificate of the aptitude examination pursuant to §34a GewO, up-to-date first aid training, fire safety training, de-escalation training and BuP training
- Fluent written and spoken German and basic knowledge of English
- Professional appearance and enjoyment in working with people, including in challenging situations
- Service-oriented approach, reliability and ability to work in a team
- Resilience, assertiveness and a sense of responsibility
- Flexibility and willingness to work shift and rotating schedules, including nights, weekends and public holidays
- Car and driving license advantageous
