About the role
- Design, implement and support technical solutions to migrate data from customer banking platforms into the Verafin application leveraging the Enterprise Data Platform
- Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using Postgres, Java, Scala and Unix Utilities
- Define a strategy for data flows to meet the requirements of the Verafin application
- Explain technical solutions and issues to non-technical customers and provide excellent customer service
- Meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and develop cloud-based services with good uptime, health, and security
- Produce clean and efficient code and consistently iterate on coding practices for continuous improvement
- Participate in automated testing and collaborate closely with team members
Requirements
- A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years development experience
- Strong analytical skills for complex and creative problem solving
- Experience in object-oriented software development (Java)
- Experience with Database technologies (PostgresSQL)
- Experience with Java, Scala, Postgres, Unix Utilities and AWS (data normalization and ingestion)
- Automated testing
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical customers
- 'Customer first' attitude - always putting the customer's needs first
