About the role
- Responsible for supporting the end-to-end process of engaging, contracting, and managing relationships with both IP contributors and calculation agents
- Collaborate with Sales, New Product, and Product Management teams to define commercial terms and clarify the nature of IP being acquired
- Lead the contracting process from negotiation of business terms to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of contracts, commercial terms, licensed downstream products, and associated P/L views of indexes tied to IP contributors for Product Management use
- Proactively alert Product Management to upcoming contract renewals and end dates, partnering to develop forward-looking contracting strategies
- Maintain regular dialogue with calculation agents to understand their capabilities and capacity to support decisions on Nasdaq’s engagement
- Engage calculation agents to obtain price quotes and negotiate pricing as needed
- Manage vendor SLA compliance, address performance issues, and ensure operational standards are consistently met
- Notify Product Management of upcoming contract renewals and end dates, collaborating on future contracting strategies
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in vendor management
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Tableau
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office tools
