About the role
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements, including technology contracts and fund-related transactions
- Partner with business leaders across regions to structure transactions, manage legal risk, and support product innovation
- Collaborate with compliance, product, and commercial teams to deliver integrated legal solutions
- Advise internal stakeholders on broker-dealer regulatory requirements and compliance matters
- Provide strategic guidance on securities law matters impacting Nasdaq's fund secondaries platform and commercial operations
Requirements
- JD degree from a top-tier law school and active bar membership
- At least 7 years of experience at a major law firm; additional in-house experience is a plus
- Proven ability to negotiate and close complex transactional agreements, including technology contracts
- Strong knowledge of broker-dealer regulation, compliance frameworks, and securities law
- Clear communicator with experience in collaborative, fast-paced, global environments
- Experience with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (preferred)
- Familiarity with investment funds and asset management regulatory frameworks (preferred)
- Prior work with fintech, capital markets, or fund secondaries platforms (preferred)
