About the role
- Oversee all billing and revenue cycle operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant billing practices.
- Manage and optimize the use of NAPA’s EMR and RCM systems, including Raintree and Rev - Ignition.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce standardized billing policies, procedures, and workflows across clinics.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the revenue cycle and implement improvements to enhance performance and reduce denials or delays.
- Lead EMR and RCM auditing processes to ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and internal standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support effective onboarding, training, and adoption of EMR and billing best practices.
- Monitor billing performance metrics and generate reports to support leadership decision making.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to medical records, documentation, and privacy standards.
- Manage escalations related to billing issues with professionalism and resolution-focused communication.
- Support system assessments, updates, and enhancements in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Maintain clear documentation and communication related to billing processes, system changes, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare information systems.
- Strong proficiency with electronic medical record and practice management systems; Raintree experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and implement process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed operational decisions.
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to medical records, billing, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with the team and external partners.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects.
