About the role
- Handle escalations from Product Support, providing advanced technical assistance for Enterprise Standard customers.
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex technical issues across n8n’s ecosystem.
- Partner with Enterprise Support for high-value account incidents and with Engineering/Product teams to report, triage, and resolve product issues.
- Support Enterprise Standard customers by balancing procedural troubleshooting with customized solutions.
- Work with Docker or Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) to deploy and debug automation environments.
- Debug APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, networking issues, and PostgreSQL-related problems.
- Create and document troubleshooting steps, build internal playbooks for recurring escalations, and improve knowledge bases.
- Suggest workflow and tooling improvements to increase resolution efficiency and improve customer experience.
- Serve as a technical mentor to Product Support Engineers and participate in structured escalation workflows and incident management.
Requirements
- 3+ years in technical support, solutions engineering, or similar roles.
- Hands-on experience building and debugging n8n workflows in production environments.
- Comfortable debugging APIs, webhooks, authentication, and data flows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and basic Linux fundamentals for troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes to deploy and debug automation environments.
- Understanding of networking basics (DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS) and PostgreSQL troubleshooting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document troubleshooting steps effectively.
- Willingness to mentor Product Support Engineers and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams.
- Work authorization: n8n can sponsor visas to Germany; for other countries you must have existing right to work.
- Company language: English.
- Nice-to-have: experience with Zapier, Make, Airflow; observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Sentry); authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT); knowledge-sharing contributions and on-call/incident management experience.
