Sales Support Representatives play a key role in supporting the Support Solutions Sales team throughout the sales cycle.
They are expected to be well-versed in company processes and provide expert assistance to sales representatives.
Responsibilities include managing the customer database, generating quotes, processing orders, and supporting sales efforts—particularly for competitive solicitations, requests for quotes (RFQs), and requests for proposals (RFPs).
Sales Support Reps apply professional sales and customer service practices to meet work requirements and maintain consistent communication with sales leadership and team members.
This role may also extend support to other sales departments and assist with marketing initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Research market trends and generate leads through call blitzes and promotional campaigns aligned with company initiatives.
Support the sales team in securing business using competitive sales strategies and in-depth knowledge of company products and services.
Adhere to established sales policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective customer engagement.
Provide administrative support by generating reports, logging support tickets, and processing deals for assigned representatives and other projects.
Create accurate sales quotes for sales representatives, management, and solicitation responses.
Maintain and update sales opportunities in the internal CRM system (Salesforce), including transaction history and order processing.
Respond to requests for quotes (RFQs) and manage the sales cycle through to completion.
Communicate with customers to provide requested information and follow up as needed.
Participate in customer calls and manufacturer forecast meetings as required.
Perform additional tasks to support the sales team as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED, plus two to four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of two years of experience providing administrative support in a sales environment or working in a customer service role.
Must be in office Tuesday and Thursday.
Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
