About the role
- Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate with healthcare providers and their staff about genetic testing and the benefits for their patients
- Proactively contact provider offices to educate, address questions, and maintain Myriad presence
- Directly responds to patient inquiries to assist in their journey to genetic testing
- Qualify healthcare provider leads from digital and referral sources, increase opportunity value, and assist in new test orders
- Develop and execute strategy to drive demand in targeted accounts
- Works with clinicians and internal teams to assist in gathering required test information, e.g. missing patient information, insurance requirements, etc.
- Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information
- The Inside Sales Representative will be on the phone approximately 90% of the time and may be expected to travel 1-2 nights/quarter for field travel or meetings
Requirements
- BA/BS preferred
- Sales and customer service experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Excellent phone skills and ability to quickly develop and manage relationships over the phone and via email
- Agile and able to adapt to rapidly changing external circumstances and internal needs
- The ability to utilize systems, tools, and data to prioritize tasks and achieve results
- The ability to understand sales cycle and track related data
