About the role

  • Lead and manage ground investigation projects from planning to reporting.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure high‑quality, compliant site works.
  • Oversee in‑situ testing, sampling, and logging to required standards.
  • Produce and review factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
  • Ensure full Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across sites.
  • Work collaboratively with geospatial and utility mapping teams.
  • Support procurement, equipment mobilisation, and project financials.
  • Contribute to process improvement, training, and business development.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Chartered or working toward chartership (e.g., CGeol).
  • Full clean UK/EU driving licence and right to work in the UK.
  • CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proven experience managing ground investigation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of in‑situ testing and logging (BS5930/Eurocode 7).
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., OpenGround).
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental awareness/training.
