About the role

  • Build and guide Murmuration’s product marketing program, including development of strategy and processes, and systems that improve cross-functional collaboration;
  • In collaboration with the Sr. Manager of Growth Marketing, own product messaging and storytelling to ensure we clearly articulate what our products are, who they’re for, what they make possible, and why they matter;
  • Build and maintain our product sales enablement library and partner with the Growth Team to identify enablement gaps and prioritize content development;
  • Drive go-to-market (GTM) for priority products and launches (including Explorer), from planning through execution and measurement;
  • Create and oversee core product marketing content and campaigns that support acquisition, adoption, and partner success;
  • Run Murmuration’s product marketing email program, collaborating with Product, Growth, and Success teams to ensure an efficient and effective process;
  • Execute paid campaigns focused on key product features, updates, and distribution strategies;
  • Conduct ongoing market, community, and partner research and/or manage external vendors to support that work when needed;
  • Provide internal teams with messaging, collateral, and training to ensure product communication is both consistent and effective;
  • Develop and support sponsorships/events opportunities that advance our growth goals, including sales enablement and coordinating sponsorship deliverables;
  • Track performance and iterate on strategy using data and feedback.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building product marketing foundations: positioning, messaging, launch processes, paid campaigns, and core collateral;
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills and the ability to distill complex products into simple and persuasive narratives;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead GTM for new products and features, coordinating across multiple teams;
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills — you can run multiple workstreams without dropping the ball;
  • Community research instincts — you want to deeply understand our partners’ and prospective partners’ needs, constraints, and motivations;
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, making structure where none exists, and iterating quickly;
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach and ability to influence without formal authority;
  • Commitment to Murmuration’s mission and excitement about strengthening civic life.
