The Environmental Data & Governance Initiative (EDGI) is a research collaborative with a mission to advance the environmental right to know. We focus on issues of environmental justice, data justice, information accessibility, and corporate and government accountability.\n
EDGI is hiring a part-time FOIA Repository Manager. The environmental FOIA repository was launched in 2020 as a collaborative project of Toxic Docs and the Sierra Club in order to offer a publicly accessible, keyword-searchable collection of the federal documents obtained by over twenty green and open-government organizations under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The FOIA Repository Manager will work closely with our partners at ToxicDocs and will be responsible for (1) preparing docs submitted by participating groups for upload into the repository; (2) liaising between participating groups, consolidating and expanding our network of NGOs doing FOIA work; and (3) analyzing and communicating findings related to the repository, FOIA, and other policies.\n
This is a part-time position with an estimated commitment of 10 hours per week.

Demonstrated organizational skills, including a strong command of file management and cloud services;\n
Ability to use Linux command line and some background in the AWS ecosystem\n
Background in environmental, health, and/or FOIA policy is a plus.
