The Executive Director of the Public Renewables Project (PRP) is responsible for achieving the ambitious mission of establishing a public renewable energy developer in all 50 states.
The Executive Director will ensure personally, or in partnership with the team, that funding partners feel updated, energized, and bought into the work of the Public Renewables Project as it grows.
The Executive Director will be responsible for ensuring personally and in partnership with the team that a spirit of radical empathy, inclusivity, and justice are at the foundation of PRP’s work and culture.
Requirements
Bold and radical vision for campaigning to shift the landscape of renewable energy development in the US.
Strong track record of building diverse, talented teams that achieve public policy victories, and attract high-level partnerships.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit.
Interest in trying to build an organization founded in values of radical empathy and radical inclusion.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently in a virtual setting
Ability to work collaboratively with a team that is diverse and inclusive.
Commitment to the mission of Multiplier, to protect and foster a healthy, sustainable, resilient, and equitable world.
Commitment to the liberation of disabled people, immigrant communities, Indigenous people, Black people, LGBTQIA2S+ people, people of color, Muslim people, religious minorities, and folks at the intersections of all of the above.
10-15+ years of experience in a combination of social justice and political organizational management, policy advocacy, and program management.
Experience fundraising and/or grantmaking.
Experience in startups preferred.
