About the role

  • The Compliance Business Analyst works in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment, supporting multiple leaders and partnering closely with the Compliance Program Leaders (CPLs).
  • This role ensures that compliance business requirements are accurately captured, consolidated, and prioritized while fostering strong alignment across teams.
  • The Business Analyst plays a key role in preparing the backlog, engaging stakeholders, facilitating compliance initiatives, and ensuring compliance requirements are implemented in specialized projects such as migrations, reporting, and systems enhancements.
  • Proactivity: Anticipates needs, connects the dots, and brings clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with multiple leaders and functions, building alignment where needed.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to consolidate and simplify complex requirements.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Skilled at leading engaging, outcome-focused sessions in virtual and in-person settings.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective in virtual and in-person environments.
  • Organizational Agility: Adapts well to a matrixed structure, balancing direction from multiple leaders.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies risks early, proposes solutions, and optimizes processes to improve compliance outcomes.
  • Effective use and management of team tools:
  • Azure DevOps (ADO): backlog, PBIs, sprint planning
  • Confluence: documentation and knowledge sharing
  • SharePoint: document management and accessibility
  • Outlook: structured communications
  • Teams (chat, channels, meetings): collaboration and virtual facilitation
  • Ensure that compliance-related documentation is accurate, up to date, and accessible.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years as a Business Analyst or in an equivalent role, preferably in compliance, risk, or audit environments.
  • Experience working in a matrix reporting structure or with multiple leaders.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Proven success in backlog management, requirements gathering, and stakeholder consolidation.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in agile delivery practices and backlog management tools.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.) is a plus.
