About the role

  • Independently perform financial accounting in accordance with HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS
  • Work closely with project managers and management to ensure transparent financial reporting
  • Manage international business transactions (intercompany, foreign currencies)
  • Reconcile general and sub-ledgers (accounts receivable, accounts payable)
  • Serve as a point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
  • Optimize and further develop financial and project processes
  • Ensure compliance with legal and internal policies

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training with further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in the IT industry
  • Excellent knowledge of HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Excellent SAP S/4HANA skills, ideally with experience as a key user
  • Ability to prepare and present financial figures in a management-oriented manner
  • Strong teamwork skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with senior management
  • Structured, analytical and independent way of working
  • Good written and spoken English
