About the role
- Drive net-new revenue growth by prospecting and closing enterprise software deals within the life insurance and annuity markets
- Develop and execute territory and account plans targeting policy administration modernization, digital transformation, and core system replacement initiatives
- Engage at multiple levels — from business (Operations, Policy Admin, Underwriting, Claims, Distribution) to IT and C-suite
- Lead discovery sessions to understand client challenges across policy lifecycle management, billing, claims, and customer experience
- Partner with solution consultants, product, and delivery teams to craft compelling, value-driven proposals and RFP responses
- Manage a complex sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and close, often 6–12 months in duration
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM hygiene
- Represent the company at industry conferences and forums (LIMRA, InsurTech Connect, etc.)
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting life insurance operations
Requirements
- 12+ years of enterprise software sales experience (preferably SaaS, policy admin systems, or insurance technology)
- Demonstrated success in selling core insurance systems, policy administration platforms, or digital transformation solutions to insurance carriers
- Deep understanding of life and annuity business processes —New Business, underwriting, policy issuance, claims, billing, commissions, agent portals, and customer service
- Strong network within the life insurance industry — executives, operations leaders, and IT stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop and close six- to seven-figure deals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills
- Experience with consultative and value-based sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Prior work with major life insurance policy and core software vendors
- Familiarity with policy administration modernization projects or legacy system migrations
- Experience coordinating with system integrators (SIs) or consulting partners
- Understanding of ERP Systems and back-office operations
- Proven communication and presentation skills in English language and ability to maintain solid network and relationships
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%
