About the role

  • End-to-end payroll processing for multiple international payrolls using Dayforce
  • Input, validate, and reconcile payroll data including starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
  • Support payroll cut-off activities and ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time
  • Maintain employee payroll records within Dayforce, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Support system audits, testing, and upgrades related to Dayforce payroll functionality
  • Run standard and ad-hoc payroll reports as required
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with local tax, social security, and employment legislation
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and post-payroll checks
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and evidence
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers where applicable
  • Support year-end payroll activities (e.g. P60s, P11Ds, equivalents internationally)
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and system efficiencies
  • Support documentation of payroll procedures and best practices

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a payroll or payroll support role
  • Hands-on experience using Dayforce for payroll processing
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-country environment
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data
  • Experience supporting global or multi-country payrolls
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation (international knowledge is a plus)
  • Experience in retail or high-volume payroll environments
  • Payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP) or working towards one
  • Highly organised with strong time-management skills
  • Professional and confidential approach to sensitive data
  • Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly
