About the role
- Install, optimize, and maintain public radio systems (VHF, UHF, 700/800), 911/ECW/Airbus equipment, NG911 infrastructure, and NICE public safety systems.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance, with an emphasis on trend analysis and documentation, to ensure continuous system operation.
- Develop effective solutions for complex technical challenges encountered during system implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support.
- Stay current with the latest technologies and troubleshooting methods in transport, communications, and RF systems.
- Work collaboratively with system managers, engineering, project management, sales, system technologists, and partners to design, implement, optimize, and transition advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Participate in a 50% on-call rotation and travel 25-50% within the T7 region as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Motorola equipment, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Networking Equipment, IP Networking, Solutions Architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or Military experience.
- Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
