About the role
- Act as a trusted advisor to influence customer’s technology platform decisions and develop preference and loyalty for Motorola Solutions
- Proactively develop opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and services
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within and outside of public safety, including Sheriff, Fire Chief, Police Chief, CIO/CTO, Administrator/Manager and other officials
- Develop strategies to position long term opportunities for Motorola Solutions
- Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged increasing Motorola’s presence across an entire customer account
- Work with the T5N leadership team to drive/develop and implement a comprehensive territory sales plan and build relationships with all key buying influencers covering the full portfolio of Motorola Solutions' products and services for Government and Public Safety
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience
- Technology sales experience and an understanding of communications, video and software solutions
- Experience selling solutions into government organizations preferred
- Experience utilizing strategic account management practices and tools
- Willingness and ability to be a strong self-starter and hunt to identify/create sales opportunities
- Ability to quickly learn new key characteristics of products/solutions and communicate the value of those solutions to customers
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key customer executives
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices a plus
- Ability to travel 25-50% to customers
