About the role
- Extend existing Spring Boot services and APIs to enable new integration and orchestration use cases.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, webhook endpoints, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Ensure high standards in code quality, testing, observability, and long-term maintainability.
- Apply distributed systems best practices (idempotency, retries, rate limiting, failure isolation).
- Deploy and operate integration-related services in our Kubernetes-based environment.
- Ensure proper monitoring, logging, and alerting for automation and integration workloads.
- Work closely with other Platform Engineers to maintain reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Understand networking, DNS, ingress, and service-to-service communication patterns.
- Design secure patterns for webhooks and inbound integrations.
- Apply least-privilege IAM principles across workflows and APIs.
- Evaluate risks and potential abuse scenarios in automation workflows.
- Ensure integrations meet internal security and compliance standards expected in a FinTech environment.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional engineering experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on production experience with Java and SpringBoot (mandatory).
- Proven experience building and operating microservices in a cloud environment.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes (deployments, networking basics, resource limits).
- Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code setups
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT, service accounts).
