About the role
- Work closely with Finance and Operations teams as their go-to partner for insights, reporting, and analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions
- Partner with engineering to specify data needs, assist with schema design, provide feedback on technical designs, and support QA and launch
- Collaborate with finance and operations to define success metrics and recommend strategies
- Perform advanced data mining, cleansing, and manipulation to ensure accurate, organised data
- Identify trends, patterns and anomalies and offer recommendations for optimisation and improvement
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Mentor and guide finance and operations team members on data analysis techniques, best practices and tools
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support special projects; act as subject matter expert providing insights to senior management
Requirements
- 3+ years of data analytics experience (or similar), preferably senior capacity at a tech or health tech company
- Expert in SQL
- Hands-on experience with data modelling
- Experience with CDP tools (e.g. Segment)
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker)
- Experience with dbt, LookML and Python is a plus
- Strong presentation and communication skills; able to distil information for non-technical audiences
- Systematic problem-solving, strong critical thinking and ability to spot edge cases
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently and balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Bonus: experience with predictive modelling or active interest in machine learning techniques
