About the role
- Oversee all forecasting and analysis for Monzo Group, including the annual budget, interim forecasts, and multi-year plans
- Prepare management information, insights, and reports for the senior leadership team; identify emerging issues and potential future challenges
- Support the development of strategic and tactical initiatives
- Build relationships and collaborate across the business to provide financial perspectives
- Ensure financial management aligns with short-term and long-term business plans
- Work as part of a team that manages the P&L and Balance Sheet on a global level
- Partner with Investor Relations, Financial Reporting and regional teams (US/Europe)
- Analyse business performance across different geographies and support new business initiatives
- Support Monzo's growth aspirations and help ensure P&L commitments are met
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in financial consolidation and reporting, particularly working with senior leaders
- Qualified through a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong financial modelling (advanced Excel/Google Sheets) experience
- Great analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, issues and recommend actions
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to engage across internal functions
- Ability to confidently present data tailored to end-user needs
- Experience building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders
- Experience building business cases, presenting and debating investment choices
- Ability to be hands-on and support colleagues, projects or tasks both big or small
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills; experience developing and streamlining processes
