Delivering internal audit activities for the EU entity in Dublin, providing independent assurance over operational, financial crime, conduct and regulatory risks
Acting as key liaison between Dublin-based business and Group Internal Audit function
Completing end-to-end audit process, ensuring audit universe for the EU entity is accurate and supporting delivery of annual group audit plan
Supporting Group Audit team in delivering coverage of EU specific controls/processes as part of Group Audits
Forming independent view on key risks, including emerging and systemic risks, and assessing effectiveness of risk management
Delivering clear, insightful, and pragmatic audit reports and managing communications with senior stakeholders in Ireland and across the Group
Building and maintaining strong relationships with 1st line and 2nd line stakeholders
Performing continuous business monitoring of the EU entity and updating Group Audit on developments and emerging risks
Maintaining strong awareness of Irish and EU regulatory landscape, emerging risks, and industry best practices
Driving continuous improvement in audit processes and contributing to team strategic goals
Requirements
Significant internal audit experience within the financial services industry (fintech or digital banking is a plus)
Exposure to a wide range of risk areas (operational, financial, conduct, compliance)
Experience working within a group function or in a subsidiary environment
Strong technical knowledge and application of relevant financial services regulations in Ireland and the EU (CBI, EBA, Consumer Protection, MiFID II, PSD2, AML directives)
Strong understanding of the IIA Internal Audit Standards and experience conducting end-to-end audits
Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, control design, and control testing approaches
Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively
Strong team player who values inclusivity and diversity
Relevant qualification, e.g., CIA, ACA, ACCA, or CISA
