About the role
- Proactively identify and assess technology risks across Monzo’s cloud-native infrastructure and applications
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend improvements
- Analyse and interpret risk data to provide actionable insights
- Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and methodologies tailored to a modern, cloud-first environment
- Monitor and report on the status of risk mitigation activities
- Assist in the development of risk appetite statements and tolerance levels
- Communicate complex technical risk information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prepare regular risk reports and dashboards for management
- Foster a culture of risk awareness across the organisation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology risks, security trends, and regulatory changes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes and tools
- Share knowledge and best practices with the team
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology risks within cloud-native environments, preferably in a banking environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex technical information and risk data to provide actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical risk concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience contributing to the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements
