About the role
- Responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting cloud and on-premises platform solutions
- Design, engineer, and support cloud and on-premises platform solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Manage cloud services to ensure scalability, availability, and security
- Implement platform engineering strategies that improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align platform architecture with enterprise and mission objectives
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs while maintaining compliance and performance standards
- Document platform configurations, processes, and operational best practices
- Support modernization initiatives including hybrid cloud adoption and enterprise platform security enhancements
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance across enterprise platforms while contributing to cost management and optimization efforts
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, or related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred)
- Proven expertise in: Cloud platform engineering and cloud service management
- Proven expertise in: Hybrid and multi-cloud strategies
- Proven expertise in: Platform security and compliance best practices
- Proven expertise in: Cost management and optimization in cloud environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Must be eligible to obtain DHS Suitability security clearance, which typically requires 2–4 weeks for processing and must be completed prior to the start date
- DESIRED: Experience with advanced platform security practices
- DESIRED: Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud design and deployment
- DESIRED: Familiarity with cloud-native cost optimization tools and practices
