About the role

  • Responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting cloud and on-premises platform solutions
  • Design, engineer, and support cloud and on-premises platform solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Manage cloud services to ensure scalability, availability, and security
  • Implement platform engineering strategies that improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align platform architecture with enterprise and mission objectives
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs while maintaining compliance and performance standards
  • Document platform configurations, processes, and operational best practices
  • Support modernization initiatives including hybrid cloud adoption and enterprise platform security enhancements
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance across enterprise platforms while contributing to cost management and optimization efforts

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, or related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred)
  • Proven expertise in: Cloud platform engineering and cloud service management
  • Proven expertise in: Hybrid and multi-cloud strategies
  • Proven expertise in: Platform security and compliance best practices
  • Proven expertise in: Cost management and optimization in cloud environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Must be eligible to obtain DHS Suitability security clearance, which typically requires 2–4 weeks for processing and must be completed prior to the start date
  • DESIRED: Experience with advanced platform security practices
  • DESIRED: Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud design and deployment
  • DESIRED: Familiarity with cloud-native cost optimization tools and practices
