About the role
- Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data using an automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll, and ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws, SOX compliance, etc.
- Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
- Assists managers with resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Calculates hours from time entry system(s) as applicable.
- Assists with HR related projects.
- Assists with evaluating and providing recommendations in regard to systems, policies and processes.
- Assists with completing pre-acquisition and post-acquisition support tasks related to payroll integration and training, etc.
- Assists with items needed for audits.
- Assist with post-payroll reporting and reconciliation activities.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Participates in company’s continuous improvement programs and provides support to team efforts.
- Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with payroll systems and related software programs
- High school diploma/GED
- Familiarity with Workday, ADP Smart Compliance, ADP Payment Solutions, or other HRIS/Payroll systems highly preferred
- Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to payroll, company policies, and operations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organization and time/project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated)
- English language competency
- Ability/willingness to travel as needed
