About the role
- Receive and review incoming revenue contract requests from project managers.
- Analyze contract terms and conditions for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify and escalate any potential risks or areas requiring clarification.
- Utilize Workday to efficiently store, track, and manage contracts.
- Input contract data accurately and maintain detailed records.
- Monitor projects-at-risk, providing feedback to operations on requirements to convert to billable projects.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties regarding contract updates, clarifications, and approvals.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the contract setup process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in project accounting, financial management, engineering or construction consulting, or related roles, preferably in a project-based environment.
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, and project budgeting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience in project accounting modules preferred.
- Workday experience is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Displays a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
