About the role

  • Provide support and maintenance for EDA tools, ensuring smooth operation and integration with design workflows.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate design processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement DevOps practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment of design tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to refine and improve existing designs flow based on feedback.
  • Help maintain and update CAD libraries and databases.
  • Assist users in understanding and resolving technical issues related to CAD designs.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Communicate effectively with users to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in design and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Organize and manage documentation to ensure easy retrieval and reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in CAD design, preferably within the semiconductor industry
  • Experience with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics)
  • Ability to explain technical information in a simple and understandable manner
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix System Administration (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Git, Jama, version control)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to semiconductor design
