About the role
- Provide support and maintenance for EDA tools, ensuring smooth operation and integration with design workflows.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate design processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement DevOps practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment of design tools and workflows.
- Collaborate with design engineers to refine and improve existing designs flow based on feedback.
- Help maintain and update CAD libraries and databases.
- Assist users in understanding and resolving technical issues related to CAD designs.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Communicate effectively with users to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in design and documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Organize and manage documentation to ensure easy retrieval and reference.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in CAD design, preferably within the semiconductor industry
- Experience with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics)
- Ability to explain technical information in a simple and understandable manner
- Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix System Administration (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Git, Jama, version control)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to semiconductor design
