The Monad Foundation is searching for an Associate General Counsel to join the growing legal team supporting Monad, a performant EVM Layer-1 blockchain
Provide comprehensive legal support across BD, ecosystem, growth, engineering, finance, and operations
Draft, negotiate, and manage collaboration agreements, grant agreements, services agreements, SaaS agreements, sponsorship agreements, confidentiality arrangements, and more
Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with transactions, operations, and strategic initiatives
Advise and implement policy on cutting-edge regulatory matters impacting the Foundation in crypto, web3, and fintech
Serve as a utility player for transactional work, employee matters, and intercompany matters
Help develop operational processes and tools to enable quick execution while mitigating risk and maintaining compliance

Requirements
6+ years of relevant legal experience for AGC (or 4+ years for Senior Counsel) with a mixture of law firm and in-house experience
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one bar
Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems across verticals (e.g., DeFi, RWAs, tokenized assets, NFTs, gaming, payments) and relevant regulatory implications
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present complex legal issues clearly
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment; effectively organize and prioritize time-sensitive projects
Strong attention to detail and business acumen
Ability to exercise high judgment and integrity in ambiguous environments
Demonstrated experience and/or strong interest in crypto, web3, or fintech
