About the role
- Oversee day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring work progresses according to project plan, timeline, and budget
- Develop, maintain, and adjust project schedules; coordinate contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Manage relationships with contractors and subcontractors; ensure quality standards and timely completion
- Serve as primary point of contact for homeowners; address questions, concerns, and provide updates
- Monitor and manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify potential cost overruns
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to timelines, costs, or quality
- Ensure quality control and that work meets local regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, permits, inspections, change orders, and progress reports
- Develop and distribute RFPs, hold bid meetings, and provide proposal summaries to Boards of Directors
- Attend monthly Board meetings (weeknight, virtual)
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, including scheduling, budgeting, and contractor coordination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with homeowners, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel or comparable programs
- Familiarity with project management software and tools
- CMCA and AMS designations welcomed but not required
