About the role

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the company’s accounting function
  • Manage a team and oversee key areas including Payroll, Accounting Systems Administration, Policies & Procedures, and Internal Controls
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across applicable jurisdictions
  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership for accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and expense management systems
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and company standards
  • Design, implement, and maintain a strong internal control environment to support financial accuracy and risk mitigation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Prior experience in a software or SaaS company strongly preferred
  • Proven people leader with experience building and managing teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across the organization
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic, solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and payroll accounting
  • Experience with Navan, financial systems and oversight of system administration
  • Expertise in internal controls, SOX compliance, and policy/procedure development
  • Advanced Excel and analytics skills (PivotTables, formulas)
