About the role

  • Outbound prospecting to merchants in Germany, Austria and Switzerland via email sequences, cold calling and in-person events
  • Follow-up with inbound marketing and partnership leads using company sales tools
  • Own full sales cycle: manage deal pipeline from first contact through to live customer
  • Create compelling commercial proposals tailored to merchant business needs
  • Coordinate onboarding and integration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful go-live and handover to Customer Success
  • Collaborate with onboarding and risk teams early in the sales process to optimise conversion and manage risk
  • Leverage Mollie value proposition to meet merchants face to face and employ creative sales approaches

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B sales (e.g. SDR, BDR, BDM, AE) with a track record of building pipelines through outbound activities (cold calling, email outreach, etc.)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a consultative sales mindset
  • Confidence in discussing technical solutions and addressing client needs
  • Eagerness to learn and thrive in an outbound sales environment
  • Familiarity with modern sales methodologies
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Shopware, Magento (a plus)
  • Fluency in German with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in English (company language)
  • Experience engaging in C-level and in-depth sales conversations
  • Based in Munich or planning to relocate to the greater Munich area
