About the role
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to oversee operations across manufacturing, engineering, materials, planning, and quality departments.
- Drive plant performance to meet divisional goals, ensuring optimal skills mix and production processes that exceed customer expectations.
- Supervise departmental leaders to ensure production volume, cost efficiency, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met.
- Maximize productivity and efficiency of supervisors and production teams through strategic leadership and resource planning.
- Optimize use of equipment, facilities, and materials by developing and implementing effective operational plans.
- Manage the Materials function, ensuring timely availability of resources aligned with customer needs, inventory goals, and profitability.
- Support logistics operations including freight, warehousing, inventory control, and work order management across all production areas.
- Establish and maintain shift standards and schedules to support consistent production output.
- Lead projects within budget and timeline constraints, overseeing design, development, implementation, and testing phases.
- Stay current on industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance production processes and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of management experience
