About the role

  • You will be responsible for building and managing strategic relationships in International trade with partners such as Banks, Trade Finance Institutions, brokers, Platforms, Logistics players etc
  • You are a hunter, who rolls up his / her sleeves and sniffs out opportunities, taking cases through the entire sales cycle from start to finish.
  • Build a strong partnership channel to make MODIFI the leader in Trade Finance for SMEs in India.
  • Actively source, evaluate, pitch and negotiate strong partnerships and manage the ongoing relationships. Own the tracking and fulfillment of all partner obligations whilst swiftly adjusting the strategy, as required.
  • Create a powerful eco system for our customers and partners to drive incremental growth.
  • Team up with global Sales & Business development teams in other countries to exploit cross-selling opportunities (with our direct customers or the counterparts of customers).
  • Be extremely results driven, exceeding ambitious targets (financial, customer satisfaction, operational) and taking MODIFI to the next level.
  • Partner with cross functional teams across Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal and Risk to find solutions and close deals.
  • Be the voice of the customer and engage with Product teams to drive product localization and improvements.
  • Be a team player, contributing towards broad company goals in a world-class team with a performance- and people-driven culture.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience working in a high pressure sales environment. Background in Trade Finance and banking & financial services would be a major positive point.
  • A hungry, infectious personality: We’re looking for someone determined to win and with the resourcefulness to achieve it. Someone with a positive attitude and a “can do” spirit.
  • Experience working in a B2B environment..
  • Having a network of channel partners.
  • Fluent English
  • Passion for small and medium-sized businesses, international trade and development and how digital trade finance can create significant growth for such businesses
  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and departments
  • Critical thinking and strong decision-making abilities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing dynamic environment
