About the role

  • Developing and executing strategic recruitment plans to fulfill organizational staffing needs in Malaysia, with periodic support to North Asia (South Korea and Japan).
  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from candidate sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Providing sourcing support for North Asia markets, partnering with local stakeholders to identify and engage qualified talent.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to understand talent requirements and provide consultative guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Conducting recruitment activities across all levels, including executive leadership, mid-level management, and entry-level roles.
  • Managing manpower outsourcing vendors and overseeing mass hiring activities for new projects.
  • Strengthening partnerships with local higher educational institutions and polytechnics.
  • Attending campus recruitment events and organizing relevant STEM-related workshops or career initiatives across Peninsula Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak.
  • Driving employer branding initiatives to enhance the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, continuously improving recruitment processes and strategies.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador for MKS Instruments, promoting our culture and values to potential candidates across the region.

Requirements

  • Tertiary education in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of international recruiting experience, with exposure to hiring across multiple organizational levels.
  • Experience in supporting multi-country recruitment within APAC is preferred.
  • Language proficiency in Korean and/or Japanese is highly desirable to effectively support sourcing activities in South Korea and Japan.
  • Experience in campus recruitment is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous.
  • Agency recruitment or RPO experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employer branding strategies, with a passion for leveraging technology and innovative sourcing approaches.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and learning.
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive recruiting landscape and manage priorities under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
