About the role
- Perform both strategic and tactical responsibilities—including acting as the strategic lead on high-impact projects.
- Play a foundational role in building the Strategic Finance function, with a clear trajectory toward managing and mentoring direct reports as the team scales.
- Build financial models and frameworks that inform capital allocation, investment decisions, and resource prioritization.
- Provide accurate reporting that creates actionable insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with all parts of the company to design and execute strategic initiatives.
- Own and facilitate Monthly Business Reviews, synthesizing performance data into strategic recommendations.
- Present analysis and recommendations to executive leadership with clear frameworks and supporting rationale.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing) to provide financial perspective on strategic decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement through standard operating cadences.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive experience across strategic finance, FP&A, consulting, investment banking, private equity, or related analytical roles.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models, business cases, and strategic recommendations for senior decision-makers.
- Experience interfacing with C-level executives and presenting strategic recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and valuation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive to actionable conclusions.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Track-record of collaborating with cross-functional partners to lead transformation and growth.
- Highly motivated, innate intellectual curiosity, and a strong desire to drive impact.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Bonus Points For:
- MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA).
- Familiarity with SaaS business models, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and subscription-based finance.
- Experience with operational FP&A (budgeting, forecasting, reporting) and strategic FP&A (long-range planning, M&A support).
