About the role
- Work with complex models, engineering drawings and technical data to create CNC programs.
- Communicate effectively at all levels of internal and external customers.
- Generate CNC programs for 3, 4 & 5 axis Vertical and Horizontal Milling Machinery.
- Set up and operate CNC Machinery that mills, punches, drills, broaches or reams metal and/or plastic parts.
- Make adjustments and monitor CNC Machines.
- Analyze current manufacturing routings and seek to apply newer technologies.
- Make recommendations for product design enhancements.
- Develop accurate part manufacturing documentation.
- Assist in new machinery purchasing and integration.
- Train and assist CNC Machinists as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years CAD/CAM multi-axis programming experience with 5-10 years of hands on 2D and 3D CNC Programming.
- Experience with set up and operation of CNC machinery.
- In-depth knowledge of Materials and Cutting Tools.
- Must understand and be able to work in both Imperial and Metric systems.
- Machinist background of large components, a plus.
