About the role

  • Master Scheduling Leadership: Develop and maintain the master production schedule for the Switchgear Division.
  • Integrate inputs from Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to align with customer requirements and operational capabilities.
  • Lead weekly production control meetings to review schedule performance and drive corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with division leadership to assess capacity, labor, and material constraints.
  • Adjust schedules to optimize throughput and resource utilization.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding material shortages, delivery delays, and engineering changes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze production trends and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Evaluate and enhance scheduling tools and processes, implementing best practices.
  • Maintain accurate MRP parameters and ensure timely processing of new orders and customer change notices in Syteline ERP.
  • Team Development: Manage and mentor scheduling staff according to company policies.
  • Provide training, cross-training, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to salary and incentive decisions.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a technical field.
  • Experience: 5+ years managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years handling Master Scheduling for Switchgear products or similar complex assemblies.
  • Skills & Expertise: Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Syteline experience preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
