About the role
- Manage collection matters from initiation through resolution
- Draft, review, and send demand letters
- Counsel collections team on legal strategy and process improvements
- Negotiate repayments and settlements
- Coordinate with external counsel when necessary
- Monitor laws impacting debt collection
- Maintain organized records and report to stakeholders
- Assist with other legal projects
Requirements
- 2–5 years of legal experience focused on collection matters and disputes.
- Fluent in English
- Strong drafting skills for demand letters
- Practical judgment in business-oriented collections
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Licensed to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction
