About the role

Build and develop Mistral AI's core platform (API & DX Console, AI Tooling, Connectors, Observability, User Admin & Billing, Partnerships).
Act as a facilitator and orchestrator, removing obstacles and empowering the team to deliver impactful solutions.
Serve as the key liaison with Product, translating vision into technical reality with attention to UI/UX.
Ensure applications are high-performing, stable, and responsive; continuously improve performance and user satisfaction.
Uphold code quality through rigorous reviews, unit testing, and automation.
Support hiring, onboarding, career growth and deliver thought leadership to elevate the team.
Participate end-to-end in the software development lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment.
Split time between hands-on coding and strategic responsibilities (project planning, stakeholder collaboration, roadmap and deadlines).

7+ years of relevant professional work experience.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Proficient in Python and at least one related web framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask...).
Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Experience with building and leading an high-performing team.
Experience with working with cross functional teams like product, design, business, etc.
Knowledge of databases, caching mechanisms and messaging systems.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ownership and capacity to ship products end-to-end.
Excellent communication skills.
Low ego and team spirit mindset.
Autonomous and self-starter.
