About the role
- Lead planning, architecture development, and operational integration of Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) to meet Department of the Air Force mission and security requirements across classification boundaries.
- Serve as the primary integrator for all CDS activities, synchronizing efforts across Air Force program offices, joint partners, and national agencies (e.g., NSA, DISA) to ensure interoperability and alignment with enterprise cybersecurity and data‑sharing environments.
- Oversee technical assessments, system design, and technology modernization initiatives, ensuring compliance with NSA Raise‑the‑Bar (RTB), DISA CDS Baseline Requirements, and DoD RMF standards used across Air Force programs.
- Direct test planning, lab and operational validation, and accreditation activities to support Authorization to Operate (ATO), while coordinating with Air Force and joint test organizations for certification and operational acceptance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years supporting Department of Defense information technology systems, cyber capabilities, electronic warfare, or intelligence mission systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience with Air Force or Joint CDS architecture, policy, engineering, and operational implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community CDS policies, to include NSA Raise‑the‑Bar (RTB) guidance, Unified Cross Domain Services Management Office (UCDSMO) processes, and DISA Cross Domain Baseline Requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with tactical and enterprise‑level CDS technologies and architectures, in both garrison and deployed/contested environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior government and military leaders, cyber and systems engineers, and operational warfighters in cross‑functional technical teams.
- Experience operating within mission‑critical engineering, or operational environments supporting Air Force and Joint cyber, ISR, and electromagnetic spectrum operations.
