About the role
- Drive transformative IT initiatives and enhance enterprise alignment
- Promote interoperability and improve operational efficiency across complex mission environments
- Serve as a trusted advisor in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, compliance, and risk management
- Mature the agency's enterprise architecture program and align IT capabilities with mission objectives
- Lead the development, maintenance, and governance of architectural artifacts, roadmaps, and frameworks
- Conduct architectural analyses and identify opportunities for improvements
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and integrate enterprise architecture into strategic planning
Requirements
- 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 13 years with a Master's degree; 10 years with a PhD; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 19 years of relevant experience
- Deep knowledge of enterprise information technology (IT) architectural concepts, patterns, and frameworks (e.g., baseline, validated, and target architectures; reference models)
- Proven expertise in aligning organizational strategies, goals, and objectives with enterprise architecture to support mission outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and govern architectures and frameworks in compliance with UAF notation and DoDAF standards
- Strong business acumen, executive presence, and communication skills to influence senior leaders, navigate complex relationships, and deliver briefings to Executive/C-Suite audiences
- Self-directed with excellent judgment; operates independently while proactively seeking leadership guidance when appropriate
- Exceptional briefing, presentation, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills
- Experience in federal government environments (preferably DoW), with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- US Citizen Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance minimum (at the time of application and consideration)
