About the role
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Tasking includes system design and trade studies, RF chain analysis, algorithm development and system performance analysis
- Requires hands-on design, test, integration, and verification support across lab facilities requiring skills in algorithms, software, hardware, and networking
Requirements
- 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field
- 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field
- 10 years relevant experience with PhD
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience
- significant experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) technologies
- Radar design, and / or Signals analysis
- Outstanding ability to proactively communicate via telephone and email with stakeholders in remote locations
- Extensive experience working with technical experts to define requirements in order to advance capability development
- Successful demonstration of technical and programmatic risk identification and mitigation
- Proven demonstration of the ability to identify the sufficient level of detail needed to make significant program decisions and quantify and communicate that rationale to stakeholders
- Tireless focus on the mission and making capabilities development a reality
- Strong operations, acquisition, and test background
- Innovative and strategic mindset to identify future capabilities and requirements that can/should be integrated into near-term solutions
- A solid leadership track record of leading technical teams of skilled engineers while working competing resource demands
