About the role
- Creating user-centered IVR designs for speech and DTMF applications (Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency).
- Gather and analyze business and user requirements for IVR applications.
- Design end-to-end call flows for speech and DTMF-based IVR experiences.
- Create design specifications and documentation for IVR implementations.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to shape and refine voice user experiences.
- Create user stories for developers and speech scientists to implement designs.
- Support speech scientists with grammar design and tuning.
- Conduct usability testing and analyze results to improve IVR performance.
- Tune IVR applications to optimize recognition accuracy and user experience.
- Communicate design rationale and methodology to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a user interface designer.
- Strong expertise in AI conversational voice design and development.
- Strong expertise in gathering and analyzing business and user requirements for IVR applications.
- Background in linguistics, cognitive psychology, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing speech and DTMF (Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency) IVR applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Nice to have: Computer science or technical background.
- Experience working closely with speech scientists or NLP teams.
- Familiarity with usability testing methods for voice interfaces.
- Experience designing IVR systems in large-scale or enterprise environments.
