About the role

  • Interact with external customers to troubleshoot any network connectivity-related issues.
  • Partner closely with Network Architects and Engineers to improve data-center network environments.
  • Initiate multiple projects for Network Operation improvements.
  • Partner with internal business units to best understand the organization's needs and continuously improve and apply standards for operational excellence.
  • Review, analyze, and execute network change requests.
  • Execute, document, and develop network automation for repetitive tasks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years total networking experience, with strong hands-on experience on Cisco Nexus (5K / 7K / 9K).
  • Experience with: Data center switching (L2/L3).
  • vPC, Port-Channels, STP, HSRP/VRRP.
  • NX-OS upgrades, ISSU planning, rollback strategies.
  • Troubleshooting large-scale DC fabrics.
  • Experience in multi-rack / multi-pod / multi-DC environments is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFW in enterprise or data-center environments.
  • Proven experience with: Security & NAT policies (App-ID, User-ID).
  • Panorama (policy management, rule optimization, upgrades).
  • Site-to-Site & Remote Access VPNs.
  • HA (Active/Active, Active/Passive).
  • Ability to optimize firewall rule bases and troubleshoot complex traffic flows.
  • Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM required; GTM preferred).
  • Experience in: VIPs, pools, health monitors.
  • Persistence, SSL offloading.
  • Performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Supporting high-traffic production applications.
  • Experience integrating F5 with data center or cloud workloads.
  • Enterprise / Large-Scale Experience: Data center buildouts or expansions.
  • Major network migrations (DC refresh, firewall migration, LB migration).
  • Large enterprise networks (hundreds/thousands of users, multi-site).
  • High-availability, 24×7 production environments.
  • Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF (MPLS is a plus).
  • Experience with: Traffic engineering concepts.
  • Route-maps, path selection, failover.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routing issues in multi-ISP or DC environments.
  • Nice to Have: Network automation (Python, Netmiko, Ansible).
  • Cloud networking exposure (AWS / Azure).
  • SD-WAN experience.
  • ITIL / change management in enterprise environments.
